An Ode to 2017 - Quote Unsplash

Can we really ignore our existence or our purpose? Not for long. We always look for meaning, truth, or whatever you call it. We, humans, may appear different and have different beliefs, but in the end, we are always searching.

Doubt ourselves, lose our way, but never stop walking. - Gin
We don't always know what is the right thing to do. We don't always know what to do with our lives, and that is ok. Without doubts, we will never be open about ourselves. Without constant thinking, we will never learn and grow. Time will never stop. Change will never stop. We also need to never stop, walking, changing, thinking, doing.

Now, this is romantic. Life can be boring. Especially nights like tonight when I know I should start doing homework, but I just don't. I am tired, and I am deliberately cutting time from my sleep to do other things. But that is ok, because we are beautiful. When you picture "struggle," you may not see a pretty scene, but if you look deeper into the soul, the "never give up" mentality is beautiful. We look towards future, towards the possibility of a miraculous encounter.

Sometimes, actually, almost always, things do not go our way. We do not succeed. We fail. We automatically blame everything around us, but often times, it is our execution that is the problem. This is especially true in sports, or something we've practiced repeatedly. We need to think. It is hard to think in the heat of the moment, but we have to think to execute something that will surprise our opponents, or the world.

 I would like to think the future has infinite possibilities, but is that really true? We are born with infinite possibilities. They are created when we become a small part of our world. As we grow up, as we go to school, conform to society, the things we can do become narrow. It is almost as if society has written our future. Knowing this, we should cherish our possibilities, because even if it is limited, it is vast enough for the whole world to be surprised.

The Start I saw various snow globes many times in my life, but I only realized some of its implications a few moths ago, during my seventeenth year on Earth. Snow globes are pretty, expensive, and offer no practical value. They are the embodiment of the modern materialistic mindset: often found at tourist traps and bought at a high value as gifts and souvenirs. The only value they offer is perhaps a sense of awe that decays rapidly with repeated sightings. The Searching Game

Sometimes, we feel like we are missing something. We don't know what exactly we are missing, but we are sure we are missing it. When we walk, we hold our head up high and look around, searching for a hint, a clue, that will lead us to what we are finding. Most days are routine.  We get up, wash, eat, and drive. This repetition is boring, and we pay little attention to it. Now, imagine you wake up in the morning and eat oatmeal while clearly pondering about an aspect of your life. There is no rush. Sea of No Progress - Beginning of Continuity

It has been a while. A few weeks since I wrote a post. Life gives a little and takes a little. I am back with a series, the continuity series. There are a few concepts in life that mesmerize me, and one of them is continuity. There is really no singular destination for us, but there is constant drive urging us to continue, whether it is to chase after our dreams or do something that we may not want to do.  Embark.  Setting sail is exciting! I believe in beginner's luck. When we start something, we get this exhilarating feeling of growth and satisfaction. We feel we are going in the right direction and we will be able to reap the rewards. However, as the port disappears into the horizon, we see nothing but sea. Art from Darling in the Franxx.
